Jule's Java & Grille

Jule's Java & Grille serves breakfast, lunch and dinner offering specialty coffees, tea, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, blue plate specials and a Fish Fry every Friday night. The restaurant is located on the square in Galena and hours are Tuesday through Friday, 6 a.m.-3 p.m.; Friday, 4-8 p.m.; Saturday, 6 a.m.-2 p.m.; and, Sunday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m..

Maronda Homes

Maronda Homes is the developer and home builder for the Heathermere and Walnut Creek subdivisions in Galena. Fifty-one home sites are available in Heathermere on Walnut Street and construction is nearly completed. Infrastructure construction is in process on Walnut Creek. The subdivision on Joe Walker Road will feature 33 home sites.

Galena United Methodist Church

The Galena United Methodist Church offers worship services at 10 a.m. in the summer. Worship services during September through May include Sunday School at 9 a.m., fellowship at 10 a.m., and worship at 10:30 a.m. Please join us for the Men's Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on the second Sunday of each month. Proceeds will fund mission trips. The United Methodist Women's Group meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

Ohio to Erie Trail

The Ohio to Erie Trail spans the state of Ohio from Cincinatti to Cleveland following lands formerly owned by railroads and canals. When complete, this trail will connect four of Ohio's metropolitan cities, a dozen large towns and numerous small villages - all done on easily accessible, paved trails, that are completely separated from highways and automobiles.

The purpose of the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce is to provide the members an opportunity to pool their resources ton continually improve the environment for conducting business in the area.

Big Walnut Local Schools

Galena is served by the Big Walnut School District. Elementary age students in the older part of Galena and in the new Heathermere subdivision are served by Big Walnut Elementary School in Sunbury at 940 S. Old 3C Highway. Elementary age students in the Blackhawk and Walnut Creek subdivisions are served by Hylen Souders Elementary School at 4121 Miller Paul Road. With new home growth in the school district, check with district officials regarding any possible redistricting.

The middle school, 105 Baughman, and high school, 555 S. Old 3C Highway, are also located in Sunbury. The district's administrative offices are located in Galena at 70 N. Walnut St., 965-2706.
