Parks Reservations

The Ruffner Park Shelter House is available on a first come first served basis or you may reserve it for $25.00 per day. Reservations take precedence. Call the Village Offices at 740-965-2484 to determine if the date you want is available. Then download this form and send it in with your check. To view the Parks Reservation Form click here.

Ruffner Park Shelter House

Ball Field

Miller Park, 268 N. Walnut St., features a train-themed playground, basketball court, volleyball court, a .4 mile paved walking trail, and a picnic gazebo. Miller Park facilities are available free on a first come, first served basis. Free wi-fi is also available dawn to dusk.

Hoover Scenic Walkway


The Jeff Dutiel Field of Dreams in Ruffner Park cannot be reserved but can be used free if it is not being used by a league. To check league schedules, visit

Miller Park Gazebo



Across from Miller Park, beside the Galena Cemetery, the old Penn Central Railroad bed has been converted into the 1/2 mile Galena Brick Trail. This portion of the Ohio to Erie Trail starts at Dustin Rd. and traverses an old railroad bridge over the Little Walnut Creek featuring scenic views. The trail features an overlook deck offering a peaceful picnic location. Galena Brick Trail facilities are available free on a first come, first served basis. The trail goes to Walnut St. and across the road through Miller Park ending at Holmes St. You can continue walking north on a grass trail but this section is not recommended for bicycles.

Building Reservations

The Galena Village Hall at 109 Harrison St. is now available for rent. Contact the Village Office to inquire about available dates then fill out this form.
